How it works

Simple, in three steps.

01

Book or walk in

Book online for a scheduled visit, or walk in during DermNow hours (Tue / Wed / Fri mornings). Tell us at check-in that you'll be paying cash.

02

See the provider

You're evaluated by a board-certified dermatologist or PA. Diagnosis, plan, and prescription are handled in the visit. If a procedure is performed, the add-on cost is told to you before it happens.

03

Pay at checkout

Pay the visit fee (plus any procedure add-on) at the front desk before you leave. We accept credit, debit, and HSA/FSA cards.

FAQ

Cash pay, common questions.

Why would I pay cash if I have insurance?

Some patients have high deductibles and find cash-pay cheaper than the insurance-billed price. Others prefer the simplicity of paying once instead of waiting for explanation-of-benefits statements. Either is fine — you can choose at check-in.

Will the visit be reported to my insurance?

No — cash-pay visits are billed only to you, not to your insurance. We can provide a superbill on request if you want to submit it to your insurance for reimbursement.

Does cash pay include pathology costs?

No. If a biopsy is performed, the tissue is sent to an outside pathology lab. The lab bills you separately for their work.

Can I use my HSA or FSA card?

Yes — HSA and FSA cards are accepted for medically necessary visits and procedures. They cannot be used for cosmetic services.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX), debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and cash. We do not accept personal checks.

What if I need a follow-up?

Follow-up visits are billed at the same cash-pay rate. You can switch from cash to insurance at any future visit if your insurance situation changes.
